Aero-Mental-Health Testbattery (AMH-T)

Measurement object / dimensions
Assessment of holistic thinking, numerical intelligence function (basic arithmetic), physical understanding, spatial perception, problem-solving ability (number sequences), technical understanding, text comprehension with memory and concentration; can be used from the age of 16 for all relevant questions. Optionally, two personality tests validated on flight personnel ("Occupational Personality Test"; "Inside Threat Risk - Inventory") can be administered with the AMH-T.

Brief description of the procedure

Area(s) of application
Aptitude diagnostics in the area of performance (can be used for all questions in which information about general intelligence plays a role), clinical psychology, work, industrial and organizational psychology, aviation psychology.
The aim of the test development is the differentiated recording of generally significant areas of ability, which are located in a hierarchical structure at a medium level of abstraction. This procedure for analyzing the intelligence structure is made up of the following eight groups of tasks: Holistic thinking (language-free matrix test), basic arithmetic (= numerical intelligence function), physical understanding, spatial perception, problem-solving ability (number sequences), technical understanding, text comprehension with associated memorization skills, ability to concentrate.

Execution
The task groups are completed within a time limit. Each group of tasks is preceded by a standardized instruction with examples of exercises. The correct answer is usually selected according to the multiple-choice principle; some tasks are answered by entering a number. All tasks in a task group are on one page, so that tasks that have already been answered can be changed several times within the respective time limit.

Execution time
Total test form: approx. 30 or 50 minutes (normal form or long form)

Evaluation
The number of correct solutions (raw scores) for the individual task groups is recorded. In the evaluation, the percentile ranks (norm comparisons) calculated from the raw scores are displayed for each item group. The processing time for the entire test can also be taken from the test protocol.

Reliability

Execution methods
Possible on PCs/laptops/touchpads without restriction. On mobile phones only to a limited extent, as entering data with a finger is a bit tedious (but possible in principle). There is an Online & Offline (dongle protected) and P&P variant (manual data entry required).

Languages
German, English

Security and data protection
The IR&C system meets the latest IT requirements ("banking standard"). As an additional security measure, personal codes can also be assigned instead of the specific names of the persons tested. Customers only need to provide sufficient PCs/laptops/touchpads with or without an Internet connection (on/off-line capable, also intranet-capable).
